WELCOME to the website of the Libraries of the University of Strasbourg, managed by the common Service of documentation (SCD).

The SCD materials and staff will provide you support all along your university courses and research works. The Libraries hold large academic, electronic, and printed collections, covering the range of disciplinary fields of the University, and are located in the heart of its various campuses. Most Libraries open from Monday to Friday uninterrupted, and some on Saturday mornings. Four of them are labeled NOCTAM*BU, that means they have larger opening hours in the evenings, and open Saturdays the whole day through. These libraries are named: U2-U3, Blaise Pascal, PEGE, Medicine & Odontology.
Our Collections
Our libraries hold, 1.3 million printed books and about 20,000 collections of printed journals, most of them available in free access. They also offer access to 40,450 electronic full-text journal collections, 25,350 electronic books, 64 databases, and 4,200 digitized documents (mostly old theses and research works). This abundant and diversified scientific material, one of the most important of France, is accessible through the documentary portal of the university.
